Article 50 - Labour's Ammendments

Labour have Tabled their Amendments for the Article 50 Trigger Legislation.

Labour have tabled their amendments so that Theresa May's government is held accountable for a BREXIT that is best for working people.

This is because of the recent High Court and Supreme court judgement to make sure parliament remains sovereign in decision that will affect many future plans. The government has written a 150 word piece of legislation so the process of leaving the EU can start. In response Labour, like many other opposition parties have tabled amendments asking for a 'meaningful vote' takes place at the end of the process and that also we have regular updates in parliament on how the negotiations are going.
